Glimt & The Founder

Glimt is a breathing reminder app for Mac and Windows. It guides you through a short breathing exercise during the workday and pauses itself while you’re on a call.

Founder · Norway

Software engineer in Norway. Burnt out building products, found a way back through yoga and breathwork, and built Glimt to keep the breath close during long days at the screen.

Why Glimt exists

Fresh out of university I landed my first engineering job and loved it. The hours were long and the work was stressful, and after a while I crashed. I had been living so far inside my head that I didn’t feel like I was in my body anymore.

Yoga and breathwork brought me back. I felt more present, and juggling work got easier. But when I was deep in the zone, the practice still slipped. I wanted a reminder that would show up on the screen I was already looking at and walk me through a few breaths, then get out of the way.

So I built it. Glimt is that reminder, and I’m sharing it for anyone who spends long days at a computer building something they care about.
